ATMT secures ISO 13485 certificate for manufacturing
Chennai, 20th May’ 11- Aloka Trivitron Medical Technologies secures ISO 13485 certification for manufacturing of Ultrasound and Color Doppler in India. The certificate is an essential Medical Devices Quality Management System requirement for Regulatory Purposes This puts ATMT on the global map of Medical Technology Manufacturing conforming to implementation and maintenance of an effective Quality management System to provide medical devices meeting customer and regulatory requirements.
Aloka Trivitron Medical Technology is the first facility within Trivitron Medical Technology Park at Sriperumbudur, near Chennai inaugurated last year by Dr. Prathap C Reddy, Chairman, Apollo Group of Hospitals.
Aloka Trivitron Medical Technologies is a JV between global U/S inventor Aloka, Japan and the largest medical technology player of the Indian origin, Trivitron Healthcare to manufacture ultrasound and color Doppler in India for India and emerging markets.
Aloka, the inventor of medical Ultrasound, Color Doppler, 3 D imaging has been at the forefront of Ultrasound technology innovation for over 6 decades and has many patents to its credit. Recently Aloka has been acquired by Hitachi, the global giant in medical technology with large presence in imaging diagnostics with products ranging from MRI, CT scanner, Digital X-ray, high end Ultrasound etc.
In addition to diagnostic ultrasound systems, Aloka has been involved in the development of nuclear diagnostics, osteoporosis diagnostics, sample testing.
The facility has already begun its operations. Right from raw material sourcing to assembling to testing and packaging of ultrasound and color Doppler technologies, everything is done here.
ATMT manufacture eight varieties of PROBES including the USD-981 which requires highly complex electrical work and has Aloka, Japan’s approval. In fact, ATMT happens to be one of the best manufacturing facilities
