A Seminar on "NEW TRENDS IN MICROBIAL TESTING" was held at Mumbai (11 th December, Taj Lands End) and at Chennai (13th December Taj Coromandel ) by Trivitron India and Trek Diagnostics U.S.A. to formally launch the New Automated Culture system of Trek Diagnostic U.S.A. which Trivitron started marketing this since the middle of 2004.The guest speaker was Dr.Vincent Labombardi who is the Chief Microbiologist from St.Vincent Hospital New York, U.S.A. He spoke about the common problems faced in the Manual Culture Growth Procedures in a Laboratory and how the Versa Trek of Trek Diagnostic was useful in overcoming the false negative cases. He also mentioned about his better experience with Versa Trek as compared to competitors Instrument in terms of Versatility, Sensitivity and ease of use.

Leading Microbiologists and Pathologists from various Hospital and different Diagnostics Centres (totaling to 60 at Mumbai and 50 at Chennai) attended the Seminar and it was very well received. Versa Trek Instrument has an installation base of 8 instruments in India.
