  • TREK Diagnostic Systems received Frost and Sullivan’s coveted 2005 ‘Product Leadership of the Year’ Award in the field of microbial detection, for the development of the VersaTREK ® Automated Microbial Detection System. Frost & Sullivan’s Product Leadership of the Year Award is bestowed on the company that has best demonstrated a superior ability to develop and/or advance innovative products versus products from competing vendors. This award recognizes the company’s successful adoption or invention of new technology that has become a part of a well-designed product family. This award also recognizes the company’s successful product development strategies and the extent to which the product has met customer-stated needs and requirements.
  • First ARTUS 3000 four-channel Real Time PCR analyzer installed at Manipal Acunova Pvt. Ltd., Bangalore . The ARTUS 3000 is an Open Chemistry Platform with a multi-filter system that can detect all available real-time chemistries including Sybr-Green, dual-labelled & MGB probes and FRET & Molecular Beacons. Most DNA amplification enzymes / buffers can be used on this system to generate Quantitation / Melt data. It is not necessary to use expensive kits that are specific to the instrument. The ARTUS 3000 offers the most user-friendly real time analysis software currently available. The software has been refined to provide an intuitive, wizard-driven interface, enabling the highest level of flexibility and automation.
  • Trivitron installs diagnostics laboratory analyzers at the Central Diagnostics Laboratory of Victoria Hospital, Mahe, in Seychelles.
  • Diagnostic Products Corporation (DPC) received the prestigious 2005 Frost & Sullivan Customer Service Innovation of the Year Award, in recognition of its unique product solutions in the area of clinical diagnostics. The award lauds DPC for implementing innovative methods to provide customers with superior service and support. In particular, the company's pioneering Real Time Solutions (RTS) suite of software solutions is commended for raising customer service standards.
  • DPC and Thermo Electron Corporation have entered into an agreement for the co-development of a new, high throughput clinical chemistry platform. This platform will integrate with DPC's future immunochemistry platforms, and will be ideally suited for the medium and large volume laboratories both in the hospital and private laboratory segments. The combination of DPC's broad experience in immunochemistry with Thermo's clinical chemistry and automation expertise will provide clinical laboratories a comprehensive diagnostic test solution that will automate most of their routine testing needs.
