  • Sebia of France - Launched their fully automated capillary electrophoresis system – CAPPILLARYS 2, which uses the most sophisticated technology available today. CAPILLARYS 2 provides a high level of performance addressing the most stringent requirements of clinical diagnostic laboratories. The CAPILLARYS 2 provides complete walk-away automation from start to finish. Designed for continuous sample feed, the operator simply places a bar coded primary sample tube on the instrument and walks away. It currently offers a menu of traditional and innovative assays that include: Proteins (with no lipid interferences), Immunotyping (an automated alternative to immunofixation testing), HR (High Resolution protein separation), CDT (Carbohydrate-Deficient Transferring) to detect alcohol abuse, and Haemoglobin.
  • Diagnostic Products Corporation (DPC) and Compugen announced a broad diagnostic collaboration for the development and commercialisation of novel diagnostic products, with an anticipated focus in cancer and cardiovascular fields. Terms of this agreement allow DPC to develop and commercialise immunoassay and nucleic-acid based diagnostic products based on Compugen’s discovered bio markers. These include certain bio marker candidates already discovered by Compugen, and additional candidates arising out
    of the collaboration.
